JIPS is a placebo literature update service for members of the Society for Interdisciplinary Placebo Studies (SIPS) and the interested public, provided free of charge by Katja Weimer and Paul Enck. If you know of relevant papers that we may have missed, please send us the citation details.
All articles are retrieved using the search term “placebo” in PubMed, are hand-selected on a weekly basis, and entered in our genuine database - operating similar to Endnote® - for quick title, author, abstract and MESH term searches. Furthermore, a link to PubMed allows direct access to the article via your institution’s licenses.
You can register for our monthly newsletter on that will provide you with the list of articles published on PubMed during the preceding month. Please find attached the latest JIPS newsletter. Furthermore, with the registration for the newsletter you will receive login details to get access to the whole database.
If you know of relevant papers that we may have missed, please send us the paper or the citation details and we will be pleased to include them into our database.
